                                      The Legend of Tarzan Review

The 1999 Disney version of Tarzan left viewers speechless with the whole idea of a human being raised by gorillas; unfortunately, the 2016 live action film of The Legend of Tarzan left the audience utterly disappointed according to Glenn Kenny who wrote the review on the movie. The live action packed film didn’t capture the whole story behind Tarzan. Instead, the movie mainly focused on today’s world wide problems. From drug trafficking, slave trading, and being concerned about the African American’s lives, the movie’s raison d’etre concerns all of that. The movie included a religious bad guy, Leon Rom, with a deadly rosary, and an African American tribal King who is determined to kill Tarzan. The action packed part of the movie was unexpectedly great; however, the story part of the script left the viewers thinking that the movie was trying to reach out to the black lives matter situation rather than putting the audience on the edge of their seats like they were expecting (Kenny).
